# 2 ~ SHINEY AND NU (imp) ~ $43,454.31 (congratulations to # 1 ~ DOCS FANCY ROY ~ $43,456.38)

Warren Backhouse said “This is a great horse and just a pleasure to be around. This is a young stud and the only time he’s been beaten has been through rider error – I’ve gone off pattern and zeroed him. Behind this young horse is a big heart. He’s only 5 and he is a horse that will also be competing and winning at the top level until he’s 10 years old. This is a one in a million horse”.

Being Australia’s top money earning horse is a bit like an Olympic or World Record – it doesn’t matter whether you hold the position for a day or a year, it is still an achievement that most will never make and for which the owners, riders, trainers and the reining community should be proud of and impressed by. Australia does not have the population or the money associated with reining in the USA or many of the international affiliates. It is therefore a GREAT achievement to see two of our horses in the top 40 of the NRHA ranked Open standings worldwide. The current NRHA rankins include SHINEY AND NU (imp) at 24th and Docs Fancy Roy at 39th in the Open standings worldwide. This is a fantastic achievement!
